Last reviewed: October 23, 2026. Numbers and hours come from Kroger’s Contact Us page and The Kroger Co. corporate contact page.
Kroger’s main customer service number is 1-800-KRO-GERS (1-800-576-4377). The call center is open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to midnight Eastern, and Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Eastern.
You can also use live chat on Kroger.com, call a department line for things like prescriptions or gift cards, or write to Customer Relations at Kroger’s Cincinnati headquarters.
This guide lists every contact option Kroger publishes, which one to use for each problem, and what to have ready so the call goes quickly.

How do you call Kroger customer service?
Dial 1-800-576-4377. Kroger spells it as 1-800-KRO-GERS, and both its website and its corporate site list the same number.

Kroger’s page describes the phone line as the option “if your problem is more complex.” For anything involving money, a missing order or a locked account, calling usually gets it fixed faster than chat.
What are Kroger’s customer service hours?
The call center hours are the same on Kroger.com and on The Kroger Co. contact page:
- Monday to Friday: 7 a.m. to midnight Eastern
- Saturday and Sunday: 7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Eastern
All times are Eastern. If you live in California, that means weekday calls run from 4 a.m. to 9 p.m. Pacific, and weekend calls end at 6:30 p.m. Pacific.
One older Kroger help page mentions “Monday through Friday 9:00am to 9:00pm EST” inside an error message. The main contact pages list the longer hours above, so treat those as current.
Tips for a shorter call
Have your Rewards card number or Alt ID ready before you dial. Most account questions start with the agent finding your account.
For a purchase problem, keep the receipt in front of you. The store, date, time and total let the agent find the transaction without guessing.
Does Kroger have live chat?
Yes. Kroger’s Contact Us page has a “Chat Us” box with a Launch Chat button, described as “Chat with us online.”
Chat suits simple questions, like how a coupon works or where to find an order. Note the time of the chat in case you need to follow up.
For a refund, account lock or anything that needs identity checks, Kroger itself points you to the phone line.
Which Kroger number should you call?
The main line handles most things, but Kroger lists separate numbers for some departments. Calling the right one first saves a transfer.

| Department | What it handles | Phone |
|---|---|---|
| My Prescriptions | Questions about My Prescriptions services | 1-855-489-2502 |
| Gift Cards | Balance or order status | 1-800-576-4377 |
| Floral | Online flower orders | 1-866-520-0356 |
| i-wireless | i-wireless products or service | 1-866-594-3644 |
| Prepaid Debit Cards | Prepaid debit card questions | 1-866-265-8419 |
| Coinstar | Coin machine questions | 1-800-928-2274 |
| Media Relations | Press inquiries only | 1-513-762-4000 |
| Privacy Requests | State consumer privacy laws | 1-800-576-4377 |
| The Little Clinic | In-store clinic services | 1-888-852-2567 |
| Pharmacy | Pharmacy services | Use Kroger’s Pharmacy Locator |
For a specific pharmacy, Kroger sends you to its Pharmacy Locator rather than a single national number. Your local pharmacist can usually help faster with refills and insurance questions.
How do you file a complaint with Kroger?
Start with the channel closest to the problem. A rude cashier or dirty aisle is best handled by the store manager, while a billing error or account issue goes to the 1-800 line.
Step 1: Talk to the store
Ask for a manager while you’re in the store, or call the store number printed at the top of your receipt. Store managers can often sort out pricing errors and refunds right there.
The customer satisfaction survey on your receipt is another route. Kroger’s survey form says the receipt details are used to “link your visit to a specific store,” so your comments reach the right location. Our Kroger feedback survey guide shows how to take it.
Step 2: Call or chat with customer service
If the store doesn’t fix it, call 1-800-576-4377 or use live chat. Explain what happened, when, and what you’d like Kroger to do about it.
Write down the date, time and agent’s name. Ask for a reference number if one is given, so you don’t have to explain everything again.
Step 3: Write to Customer Relations
For a serious complaint, or when calls haven’t worked, send a letter. The Kroger Co. contact page lists this address:
The Kroger Co.
Customer Relations
1014 Vine Street
Cincinnati, Ohio 45202-1100

Include copies of receipts, never originals. Keep your own copy of the letter, and note the date you mailed it.
What to include in any complaint
- Your name and the best way to reach you
- The store location, or the order number for online orders
- The date and time of the visit or delivery
- What happened, in a few clear sentences
- What you’re asking for, such as a refund or a credit
- Your Rewards card number or Alt ID, if points or coupons are involved
Stick to facts and keep it short. A clear request is easier for the agent to approve than a long story without one.
A complaint letter you can adapt
If you’re writing to Customer Relations, a short, organized letter gets read. Here’s a template you can copy and fill in.
The Kroger Co., Customer Relations
1014 Vine Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202-1100Re: [Store name and city], visit on [date] at about [time]
On [date], I [describe what happened in two or three sentences]. I raised this with [store manager / customer service on date], and [what happened next].
I’m asking Kroger to [refund $__ / credit my account / review this store’s practice]. My Rewards card number or Alt ID is [number], and copies of my receipt are enclosed.
You can reach me at [phone] or [email].
[Your name]
Keep it to one page. A specific request, such as a dollar amount or a credit, gives the person reading it something clear to approve.
What to say on a call
Open with one sentence that names the problem and what you want. For example: “I was charged twice for my Pickup order on October 12, and I’d like a refund for the second charge.”
Then give the details the agent will ask for: your card number or Alt ID, the store, the date and the amount. If the agent can’t help, ask politely whether a supervisor or a different team can.
How do you reach Kroger’s corporate office?
The Kroger Co. lists a corporate switchboard at (513) 762-4000. Its headquarters is at 1014 Vine Street in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The switchboard isn’t a customer service line. For shopping problems, the 1-800 number and the Customer Relations mailing address are the routes Kroger publishes.
Kroger’s corporate page also lists Investor Relations and Shareholder Services at (513) 762-1220. That line is for shareholders, not shoppers.
Common problems and where to take them
Here’s a quick guide to the right contact for each type of problem.
| Problem | Where to go first |
|---|---|
| Points missing from a purchase | 1-800-576-4377 with your receipt |
| Can’t register your card or Alt ID online | 1-800-576-4377 or Kroger’s website support |
| Link household accounts | 1-800-576-4377 (Kroger says this must be done by phone) |
| Online Pickup or Delivery order problem | Live chat or 1-800-576-4377 |
| Gift card balance or order | 1-800-576-4377 |
| Prescription question | Your local pharmacy, or 1-855-489-2502 for My Prescriptions |
| Overcharged at the register | The store’s customer service desk |
| Rude service or store condition | Store manager, then the receipt survey or 1-800 line |
| Privacy or data request | 1-800-576-4377 (Privacy Requests) |
| Suspicious “Kroger” text or email | Don’t reply; contact Kroger through Kroger.com |
Missing points
Before you call, check that your card or Alt ID was on the receipt and that the items earn points. Kroger’s fuel points page says items such as adult beverages and tobacco don’t earn points.
Our Kroger Points guide covers the earning rules and the monthly expiration date, which explain most “missing” points.
Account sign-in and Alt ID problems
Kroger’s troubleshooting FAQ sends several sign-up errors to customer service. These include a card already linked to another account and an Alt ID that doesn’t match the last name on file.
Our Kroger Rewards sign-up guide lists each error message and what it means, so you’ll know what to ask for when you call.
Deleting your account
You can delete your digital account online. Kroger says some details stay on your card account afterward, including points, purchase history and Boost benefits.
To change or remove those, Kroger points you to Customer Service or the in-store customer service desk.
Refunds and the Fresh Guarantee
Kroger’s “Our Fresh & Quality Guarantees” page says that if you don’t love an item, Kroger will “make it right with a replacement or refund.” It lists three routes: Purchase History online, phone or chat, and in person.
For in-store purchases, the route changes the result. Refunds handled by 1-800-KROGERS or live chat arrive as a credit on your Kroger Plus card, while money back on your payment card requires a store visit.
Kroger says confirmed refunds take 5 to 7 business days. Our Kroger receipts and refunds guide covers every case, including which items can’t be refunded.
Kroger Boost questions
Boost, Kroger’s paid membership, has its own support line. Kroger’s Boost FAQ lists 1-833-557-4278 (1-833-5KRGBST) for urgent help.
For cancellations and renewals, Kroger points Boost members to the Membership Management page on Kroger.com. Our Kroger Boost guide explains the plans and the no-refund rule.
Pharmacy and The Little Clinic
Pharmacy questions go to a separate team. Kroger’s Contact Us page sends pharmacy and clinic questions to its health contact information, with The Little Clinic at 1-888-852-2567.
For refills, insurance and prescription status, your own store’s pharmacy is usually the fastest contact. Find it with Kroger’s Pharmacy Locator.
Is that call or text really from Kroger?
Kroger’s customer service number is 1-800-576-4377. If someone contacts you claiming to be Kroger and asks for your password, card number or a gift card payment, hang up.
Call the number from Kroger.com yourself instead. Our guide to Kroger survey scam texts shows the warning signs and how to report them.
Contacting other Kroger family stores
Kroger runs many grocery brands, such as Ralphs, Fred Meyer, King Soopers, Fry’s and Smith’s. Each one has its own website and help pages.
Your points and rewards work across the family of brands, according to Kroger’s Points FAQ. For a store-specific problem, though, start with that brand’s own contact page or the store number on your receipt.
